The historic White Hart Inn at Lydgate near Oldham dates back to 1788, and offers guests a warm and friendly welcome. The inn has won many awards including 'Pub and Restaurant Chef of the Year 2005' awarded by the 'The Craft Guild of Chefs'. Guests can expect a venue offering the finest of food, good real ales and a wine list hand picked. The White Hart in-house restaurant has a superb reputation. The restaurant is modern and contemporary, with a diverse menu, and food is served in our choice of event rooms. Each room has a different focus. The Library is more private and suitable for romantic diners for two, whereas the Oak Room caters for upto 220 people and perfect for dinner dances. A brasserie menu is also available.
Throughout the year the White Hart offers a programme of entertainment, combined with superb food and ales. Recent events have included our Jazz Sunday afternoons, and forthcoming events include 'The Saddleworth Wine and Food Tasting' and Wines and food of Vallet Freres, Gevrey-Chambertin. Guests also benefit from free internet access in all rooms, as well as in our meeting rooms, restaurant, brasserie and the snug and lounge of the pub.
