Our Silver Award winning luxurious Four Diamond bed and breakfast is nestled between the nature reserves of Watergrove and Healey Dell at the base of East Lancashire’s Pennines. The house was originally built in the early 19th Century. Guests have their own entrance into the Art Deco inspired sympathetically converted attached barn. Start the day with Gill’s full English breakfast deserving of its mention in the Sunday Times, taken communally at the single large table. Other facilities at the property include the guest’s garden lounge with TV, Freeview, DVD and a small fridge. The Finnish sauna room on the first floor gallery is the perfect place to relax at the end of a busy day.
Hindle Pastures is located just 300 metres off the A671 at the base of the rugged Pennine countryside surrounded by serene, breathtaking views over 4 counties yet close to the conurbations of Greater Manchester. Pubs and inexpensive restaurants are just 10/15 minutes walk away with posh nosh available with a short drive to TV chefs “Nutters” and The Dining Room. The immediate area provides doorstep moor land access and a wide range of activities including golf, fishing, horse riding, cycling, walking, community swimming pool/gym, clay pigeon shooting etc. Hindle Pastures is also a good base to explore rural Lancashire and West Yorkshire as well as the Manchester scene just 35 minutes away for a little culture or retail therapy. Choose from three individually designed spacious en suite rooms which are available for single or double occupancy with limited space for an extra bed. The Hay Loft boasts a double 4 poster bed, wide screen TV/DVD player, Jacuzzi bath, wealth of exposed timbers, exposed sand stone walls with a balcony window looking out over south Lancashire and north Derbyshire. The Pennine View has a very comfortable king sized bed, spectacular views over the Pennines and the garden area. The Tack Room is twin bedded, on the ground floor looking out over the courtyard and beyond, This room is also suitable for those with limited mobility as there are no steps into the room and has access from the dining room door. For your comfort all rooms have thermostatic radiator valves, for individual temperature preference, remote control colour television/DVD, hairdryers, radio alarm clocks, bottled mineral waters, beverage tray with a selection of coffees, teas, hot chocolate, lattes, milk and biscuits. There is a selection of complimentary toiletries and an abundance of fresh towels in the quality en suite bathrooms.
