The quaint market town of Garstang lies just over the road and The Flag public house is close by, offering refreshments and meals.

To the north of Garstang lies the historic university town of Lancaster and a little further still takes you to the magnificent Lake District. To the south is the city of Preston with its National Football Museum and variety of shops whilst to te east lies the unspoilt beauty of the Forest of Bowland.
