Standing in the middle of the village from which it takes its name...
A superb menu..., hand drawn cask ales
If you've travelled a long way, fallen in love with the village and the way of life,
or if you have simply overindulged, we have a choice of six individually furnished ensuite rooms. The Waddington Arms is very much at the heart of life in the fabulous Ribble Valley. It is the perfect place to eat, to drink, to sleep and most important for a village inn, it is also the perfect place to meet, relax and catch up with friends old and new. People tell us that it doesn't look too bad either. The terraces and gardens will be ready for summer this year making the outside of the pub as attractive and a relaxing place to be as the inside. There will be barbecues, garden games, al-fresco dining and occasional live music. There might even be the odd, quiet contemplative moment savouring a glass of wine in an English country garden, listening to bird song and truly appreciating the shear good fortune we have in living in this particular corner of this green and pleasant land. On the other hand it might just rain. Either way, we would love to see you.
A superb menu, featuring many local rural specialities, is complimented by an ever-changing specials board. There is also a light bites menu for those hungry, in-between meal moments, of for those of an altogether healthier disposition. Food is served Monday to Friday Noon 'til 2.30pm and 6.30pm 'til 9.30pm. At weekends and Bank Holidays we stretch to serving food all day from Noon 'til 9.30pm.
If you've travelled a long way, fallen in love with the village and the way of life, or if you have simply overindulged, we have a choice of six individually decorated and furnished en-suite bedrooms. There is no best room, everyone has their favourite. Bed and Breakfast starts at a very reasonable £47.50 for single occupancy and moves to £65 for double occupancy. We don't have any formal Long Stay, or Dinner Bed and Breakfast packages, but we are always happy to have a chat about these things.
The Waddington Arms is open all day every day, apart from Christmas day. Real Ale lovers will certainly feel at home. On the bar we have hand drawn cask ales, continental lagers and a famous Irish stout. We also offer an excellent wine list, with twenty six bottles individually selected by our wine merchants. Also available is the world famous wine, Byrne's of Clitheroe. Wines are mostly available by the glass. We also offer an exhaustive range of speciality coffees, from Cappuccino to the somewhat obscure Double Macchiato. Waddington is amongst the most attractive of the Ribble Valley villages. You will find a post office and village shop, two other pubs, two churches, a social club, a bowling green and a very well used village playing field. The Waddington Arms is also most convenient for visiting historic Clitheroe with it's castle and castle museum, and it's many specialist craft shops.
