Cherry Clough Farm is adjacent to the Pennine Way and Oldham Way, providing the ideal indulgent stopover for those attempting either route. The nearby villages of Delph, Dobcross, Diggle and Uppermill are all within hiking distance and here you will find traditional tea rooms together with welcoming public houses offering drinks and meals. Maps are available for walks.
The country's first purpose built long distance bridleway, the Pennine Bridleway, passes within a mile of the farmhouse and is ideal for riders, bikers and walkers alike. 120 miles of route are currently open from Derbyshire up to Mary Townley Loop in the South Pennines. Stabling and grazing is available on the farm for those wishing to explore the area on horseback. Get your day off to the best possible start with one of our Aga cooked breakfasts whilst gazing out over the Saddleworth countryside. Vegetarian and healthy options are also available. For business visitors each room is equipped with desk and wireless Internet. Despite the idyllic rural location, the M62 motorway network is only 3 miles away!
Three well appointed guest rooms are available, each with digital TV and en-suite shower. The comfortable beds are zip lock allowing rooms to be configured as king size, twin or single. One bedroom is located on the ground floor and is better suited to less abled guests and another is available as a family room. All towels and linen are provided as is hairdryer and beverage facilities.
Cherry Clough Farmhouse won the Manchester Tourism Awards 2010 Small Hotel/B&B of the Year Award. We also have stabling available for guests who want to bring horses or ponies, and llama treks are available from the farm.
