The Hotel California is a unique live music venue and rock club, with bar and hotel rooms on-site. This venue was formerly known as the Royal Castle, a pub with a rock/biker heritage going back many years. Mr Davidsons Bar is open all day, 7 days a week, and offers a vast choice of beers and spirits. Hotel rooms and a large car park are on-site. Other facilities include a large concert room, a rockers/bikers only room, and a large beer garden. Guests can expect the best live music experience in the North West, with both weekend and week night shows. Enjoy a cracking weekend with performances from some of the best tribute bands in the country, including AC-DC tribute band, Kounterfeit Kinks and the Red Mock Chilli Peppers. We're a superb venue for families and for food! For just £4.50 a head you can't go wrong. Where else can you buy a proper Sunday Roast for a family of five for under £30. No need to book, just turn up after 12 (til 4.30). A range of international beers are also available.

This popular club is constantly expanding, with plans for more Hotel rooms, a bar in the beer garden, extensions in the rock room and more! We are also about to put on a coach service from Wrexham, Buckley, Chester and Ellesmere Port! A limited number of Double and Twin rooms are available. All are homely, warm, and spacious rooms with televisions. Why not become a member. For just £7.50 a year, you are given a membership card, access to your own bar and Friday and Saturday night shindig with DJ faves such as Camo and Eric. You are also given discounts and reduced entry to events in the main venue. Not a member? Not a problem. All you need is a passport sized photograph, confirmation of your musical tastes and make yourself known to the bar staff.
