Each of our three cottages has it's own feel and charm, whether you're looking for a sociable open plan lay-out, wood-burning stove or a picturesque private patio area overlooking the '˜babbling' brook. The interior of each cottage has been designed to reflect the surroundings, with a focus on comfort and style. Our recently updated luxury bathrooms in Saddle Barn and Woodcutter's are winning rave reviews - "the bathrooms are definitely the star rooms" said Ian W after his stay during February. And importantly, after a day exploring the unspoilt Forest of Bowland, we ensure that you have many restful hours of sleep in comfort on the luxury '˜Sealy' beds. Guests arrive to a lovely welcome hamper comprising homemade teabread, jam made with fruit from the trees around the farm, local organic cheese, organic crackers, fairtrade tea and coffee, sugar and local Bowland milk. Crisp, white bed linen and towels are provided along with a selection of complimentary toiletries. There is also a shared laundry room featuring a washer/dryer with free eco-friendly detergent. Travel cots and specially fitted stair-gates can be provided. The Ribble Valley and Trough of Bowland allows you to make your holiday as peaceful and relaxing as you like. We are within the designated "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" but the close proximity to Clitheroe, Preston and Skipton mean there is lots to occupy all the family - visiting castles and museums, going on a steam train, feeding the lambs or going shopping. Manchester, Harrogate and Blackpool are only just over an hour away. There are footpaths starting on our doorstep and we provide a comprehensive selection of recommended local walks and cycle tracks. Rooms Description

The Grade II listed Coach House has been lovingly restored and retains original features and character. The Coach House sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and benefits from a TV and DVD combi, a family bathroom with bath and shower over. The fully-fitted kitchen has an electric cooker and a double oven and microwave. Outdoor furniture is provided and private parking is available for up to 2 cars. Spacious Saddle Barn sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms with 2 recently refitted, luxury bathrooms and has a wall-mounted plasma TV with integral DVD. French Doors open onto a private patio over-looking the stream with wooden furniture and barbecue. Woodcutters Cottage has its own private patio too as well as a cosy wood burning stove - we provide the logs! It dates from the 16th Century and sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms also with a refitted luxury bathroom.

Specialities

Clough Bottom is an organic beef farm, with Limousin and Aberdeen Angus cows. We raise organic beef following natural farming methods and adding clover and herb mixtures to the grass to enrich the land naturally. The farm also has a remarkable choice of more than 3,000 specimens of trees and shrubs, from standard trees to ornamental shrubs. The organic, free range chickens are always a big hit with the children !
