Liverpool's gay scene and gay quarter has a long history based around the Victoria Street, Stanley Street, Cumberland Street and Eberle Street area of Liverpool city centre.

Liverpool Homotopia Arts Festival

Liverpool's Homotopia Arts Festival, held annually across November, is a celebration of Queer culture involving a range of theatre, film, art, performance, photography and heritage events and exhibitions across the city. This outstanding festival celebration of Queer culture in Liverpool has achieved national and international acclaim since it first launch in 2004.

A strong commitment to supporting local artists underpins this Liverpool Festival. Events feature live theatre performances, dance, musicians, writers and artists, comedians and cabaret across a range of venues in Liverpool.
