Top Tips: Check which Terminal you need. There are 3 Terminals at Manchester Airport. Generally Terminal 3 serves domestic flights, i.e. flights internal to the UK. Terminals 1 & 2 are international flights.

Parking at Manchester Airport couldn't be simpler. None of that parking 5 miles away from the airport lark. At Manchester all car parks, long and short stay, are adjacent to terminals. Excellent news for easy access. As you drive into the Airport just follow signs for the terminal you need, and you will then be directed to the relevant car park for Terminal 3, or 2 or 1.

Manchester Airport is located only 10 miles to the south of Manchester City centre, and is well served through direct links by rail, coach and Metro from Manchester City Centre to the airport.
Road networks to the airport also facilitate easy access to Manchester Airport - just off at Junction 5 on the M56. As soon as you exit off Junction 5, colour coded cube signs direct you to the correct terminal. Couldn't be simpler. Coming soon are large banners in conjunction with terminal signs which highlight which airlines fly from which terminal. Manchester is working hard to make the airport increasingly accessible.
Manchester Airport has it's own station, located conveniently between Terminal 1 and 2. Most Northern cities have direct links to Manchester Airport station, and if not direct link then easy connections.
National Express run an extensive longer-haul service to Manchester Airport, and local buses run from local Manchester towns at very regular intervals. See our 'How to Get there' section for further details.
With five large hotels on the Manchester Airport site, and ample accommodation options in the surrounding area including Wilmslow, Altrincham, Didsbury, Styal or even Manchester city centre where connections are easy to the airport by metro, rail or bus - there's so much accommodation choice you're spoilt.
Why not take advantage of 'Stay and Fly' deals offered by many nearby Manchester Hotels and Manchester Airport Hotels. You stay a few nights with them, and get to leave your car in their carpark - this option can save you a fair bit of cash!
Manchester Airport is just about to invest £5.5m in retail and catering facilities in Terminal 1, which will improve the already ample catering and shopping experience of Terminal 1. In all Manchester Airport has 90 shops, restaurants and bars at present - choice means you can eat cheap or pricey!
There are also plans afoot for development at Manchester Airport Station, including development of the retail and catering facilities with additional Marks and Spencer's Simply Food, WH Smith and a selection of cafes. Duty Free shopping is only available through Security Control. However, in all terminals you'll find plenty of big named shops to keep you occupied!
The Aviation Viewing park, accessed off junction 6 of the M56 - (just follow the brown signs on the A538) is extremely popular. A top tip is to check the weather before you go, urrr it's always better on a clearer day!
There's an Aviation shop on-site, as well as a catering outlet and various exhibitions. With three mounts from which to view aircraft taking off. It really is well worth a visit - and kids seem to love it. The spot has been picked for the best views of aircraft taking off and it won't disappoint.
Some people seem to go there for lunch - you can view aircraft from the car in comfort as well!!!!! Why not hook into a special viewing tour of Concorde.
